Fairshake affiliate Defend American Jobs spends $5.2 million on media buy to oppose Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown

A new Federal Election Commission filing shows Fairshake affiliate Defend American Jobs has increased spending to oppose Ohio Democrat Sherrod Brown to about $46.66 million, making him the most expensive target of the crypto industry's 2026 campaign. The filing details a $5.2 million media buy and a subsequent $1.95 million buy, pushing the total past the $40 million mark. Fairshake, funded largely by Coinbase, Ripple and Andreessen Horowitz, is on track to defeat Brown, a longtime crypto skeptic who chaired the Senate Banking Committee.
