AI wearables Bee, Friend and Limitless showcase diverse approaches to personal companionship

TechCrunch reports on a wave of AI-powered wearables entering the market, including Bee, a $49.99 pendant that records audio and learns user routines; Friend, a $129 emotional support companion that listens and proactively engages; and Limitless, formerly Rewind, a $99 device that records and summarizes meetings. Amazon acquired Bee's startup in July 2025 and launched new Frontier and Eclipse models. Friend recently updated its device with a built-in speaker to enhance personality expression.
