Seven crew missing after drone attack ignites tanker off Romania's coast

Eight of 12 crew members are missing from the San Marino-flagged Wine Trader after it was struck by drones, causing a fire, 13 nautical miles east of the mouth of the River Danube at Sulina on Thursday morning. Romanian President Nicușor Dan confirmed the drone attack, amid a recent spate of drone strikes on the Black Sea's west coast, including incidents off Bulgaria. Search and rescue operations, involving Black Hawk helicopters and rescue boats, are underway, prioritizing the four crew members confirmed to be alive. Leaders of Romania and Bulgaria are set to discuss invoking Article 4 of the Nato treaty.
