AWS Announces General Availability of Web Answer on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore
AWS has announced the general availability of Web Answer on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. The managed tool returns a synthesized, source-cited answer to a natural-language question with a single tool call, removing the need for developers to build their own search, retrieval, synthesis, and citation pipeline. It autonomously plans parallel searches, verifies facts by reading key pages, and re-searches when evidence is insufficient. Web Answer is currently available in US East (N. Virginia) and costs $10 per 1,000 tool calls.
AWS has launched a generally available managed Web Answer tool for AI agents, simplifying web-grounded Q&A development. It is practically useful for AI application builders, but remains region-limited and is a single product feature update, so its broader impact is constrained.
