First-time buyers await Budget details on new Your First Home scheme

The government is expected to unveil details of the Your First Home scheme ahead of this week's Budget, aiming to help more first-time buyers onto the property ladder. Ramteke estimates it could take three to four years to save enough for a deposit on a typical three-bedroom home. Estate agent Zunara Tariq says affordability remains a massive issue, with even those on big salary jobs finding it hard to save.
