AWS introduces Adaptive Agentic Intelligence Framework using Strands Agents for optimized AI operations

The Adaptive Agentic Intelligence Framework (AAIF), built with Strands Agents, addresses the high cost and latency of routing all AI requests to a single large model. AAIF uses a lightweight SLM (llama3.2:1b) for smart orchestration to classify requests: routine tasks like device telemetry retrieval and image analysis are handled locally via Ollama, while complex pattern analysis is routed to frontier models in Amazon Bedrock, balancing cost and maintaining low latency for local operations.
