Foreign enterprises flock to Hainan Free Trade Port as "2026 Foreign Enterprises Hainan Tour" kicks off in Haikou

On November 5, 2026, the "2026 Foreign Enterprises Hainan Tour" series of events opened in Haikou, with representatives from 30 countries and regions including the United States, Britain and Italy attending to discuss investment opportunities. Since Hainan Free Trade Port began closed-off operations on December 18, 2025, Hainan added 1,827 new foreign-funded enterprises in the first eight months of this year, up 40.9% year on year, with landmark projects such as Siemens Energy and Coca-Cola's green factory landing. Multiple foreign executives said they plan to set up factories in Hainan to serve China, Southeast Asia and European markets.
