Yelp adds AI voice agent to call restaurants and check wait times

Yelp introduces a new "Check for Me" feature that uses an AI agent to call restaurants on behalf of users to check wait times, with results sent via text message. The update also adds OpenTable integration for in-app restaurant bookings, the ability for the AI assistant to remember user preferences, and a new paid product, Smart Lead Reply, which allows businesses to pay $30 per month for AI-managed customer inquiries.
