Bitcoin hashrate reaches seven-month high despite major miners shifting to AI

Bitcoin's seven-day average hashrate recovered above 1 zettahash per second (ZH/s), its highest since March 3, according to BlocksBridge Consulting's latest Miner Weekly newsletter. This recovery suggests that remaining network miners face little relief from competition, even as publicly traded miners have shifted capacity toward AI, leading to a 23% decline in their realized hashrate. Bitcoin's mining difficulty increased 5.92% on Oct. 16, with BlocksBridge projecting a further 5.16% increase at the next adjustment.
