Trump says he does not regret launching the Iran war despite its impact on Republican midterm performance.

Trump said on the evening of the 3rd that the Iran war had "a certain impact" on Republican performance in the US midterm elections and dragged down his approval rating, but he does not regret launching it and said he would still do it if given another chance. He identified rising oil prices as the biggest political burden and expressed support for Defense Secretary Hegseth, calling him excellent. US media outlets predicted Democrats would win control of the House and at least 51 of the 100 Senate seats in the midterms, retaking the Senate.
