OpenAI merges Chat and Work in ChatGPT, ending all-you-can-prompt pricing model

OpenAI will merge Chat and Work interfaces in ChatGPT starting in December, consolidating usage limits across Plus, Pro, and Business plans into a single shared token budget. Users can monitor remaining balances in Settings, and once limits are hit, they can wait for a reset, upgrade, or purchase extra credits. Chats with Instant models will not count toward the budget.
