Microsoft, Alphabet and Goldman Sachs join 16 firms objecting to tokenized stock trading on OKXICE TSV
Sixteen companies, including Microsoft, Alphabet, and Goldman Sachs, have objected to the trading of their shares on OKXICE TSV, a tokenized stock venue operated by OKX and Intercontinental Exchange. The list has grown from nine to 16 since the venue's Oct. 15 notice, now including Qualcomm, Caterpillar, McDonald's, and Western Digital. The updated notice also indicates the platform may offer stocks tokenized by the issuers themselves, not just third parties. Goldman's objection is notable given its own investments in blockchain markets. The venue plans to operate 24/7 on Uniswap v4 liquidity pools on OKX's XLayer blockchain, with trades settled in stablecoins like USDC and USDT, operating under the SEC's innovation exemption.
