OpenAI restricts ChatGPT paid account limits per device and payment card

OpenAI has introduced limits on the number of paid ChatGPT accounts that can be linked to a single device or payment card. Users attempting to exceed these limits will see a "Device limit reached" message, preventing the affected account from being used on that device. The policy applies to ChatGPT Go, Plus, Pro 100, Pro 200, and Pro 500 plans, while Free and Business, Enterprise, and Edu accounts are excluded. The restriction targets users switching between multiple paid accounts on one device to utilize cheaper flat-rate subscriptions, pushing them toward more expensive extra credits or usage resets.
