Israel and US hold simultaneous elections with global consequences

Voters in Israel and the United States will hold elections within days of each other, with outcomes potentially reshaping the Middle East and the global economy. About half a million Israelis with US passports can vote in both polls, and their ballots could influence tight US races. The elections come amid heightened tensions over Iran, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu campaigning on a potential fresh attack and US President Donald Trump endorsing Netanyahu while expressing concerns about energy price spikes.
