Solana ad removed in Shanghai within 10 minutes, CZ denies responsibility

A Solana advertisement on Shanghai's Bund waterfront was removed by officials within 10 minutes of appearing. Binance founder CZ said he only saw the ad on X 12 to 24 hours later, and rejected claims his post triggered the removal, citing that Chinese censors act in real time. Shanghai regulators postponed a Solana event after officers kept guests outside. Mainland China has banned crypto trading since 2021 and expanded the crackdown in February to cover stablecoin issuance and asset tokenization.
