StepFun launches STEPX Neo phone with built-in AI agent Amoo

Chinese AI startup StepFun unveiled the STEPX Neo phone on October 13, running Step AOS 1.0, an operating system designed around an integrated AI agent rather than traditional apps. Priced at 3,999 yuan ($560), the device comes with 12 months of AI access offering 100 billion tokens monthly. Nearly 100 partners including Alipay and Tencent have signed on to the Amoo agent, which can handle tasks like travel bookings and payments across platforms without opening individual apps.
