Google releases TorchTPU to challenge Nvidia's AI chip dominance

Google announced the open-source release of TorchTPU, a version of PyTorch that allows AI apps to run on Google's Tensor Processing Units with only a configuration change. Amazon similarly released TorchNeuron for its Trainium chips. Both aim to reduce Nvidia's default dominance in AI development by enabling easier porting to alternative hardware.
