Zcash rallies 12% as developers finalize NU7 activation height for November mainnet upgrade

Zcash (ZEC) surged about 12% in the past 24 hours, trading around $1,270, after developers agreed on a mainnet activation block of 3,543,405 for the NU7 upgrade, expected around Nov. 5. The upgrade aims to reduce the target block time from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, improving transaction confirmation speed. The Zcash Foundation's readiness tracker shows six of 12 tasks completed, though Zebra node synchronization issues remain unresolved.
