France Extends Maritime Patrol Plane’s Stay in Black Sea After Cargo Ship Attacks

A French Atlantique 2 maritime patrol aircraft deployed to Romania will extend its stay by several weeks to monitor commercial shipping in the Black Sea after deadly attacks on cargo ships. The plane, originally set to leave on November 6, previously detected sea drones before they struck a Greek container vessel in Bulgaria’s exclusive economic zone on October 28.
