Samsung ramps up chip production at Pyeongtaek complex to challenge SK Hynix in AI memory market

Samsung is expanding its semiconductor manufacturing complex in Pyeongtaek, South Korea, with three factories already operating and a fourth coming online. The facility, covering an area equivalent to New York City's Central Park, aims to reclaim market share in high-bandwidth memory chips used for AI, currently dominated by rival SK Hynix.
