Google Gemini adds direct file editing for Docs, Sheets, and Slides

Google Gemini users can now generate, preview, and edit Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and other file formats directly within the chat interface. PDF editing works on both web and mobile, while other formats are currently web-only. Users can highlight text to ask Gemini questions or prompt changes, such as converting tables into graphs.
