Google Research advances Geospatial Reasoning agent for planet-scale challenges

Google Research has evolved its Geospatial Reasoning agent from an early concept into an experimental system capable of multi-step, geospatial reasoning across planet-scale data and autonomous training of custom predictive models. This agent connects Gemini to Earth AI foundation models, including WeatherNext, Flood Forecasting, and PDFM, alongside data from Google Maps Platform and Google Earth Engine. The system is being tested by partners such as the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Africa and People in Need for real-world workflows like disease outbreak investigations and disaster preparedness, and early access is expanding on Google Earth and Google Cloud.
