Chainalysis Breached by AI‑Driven Attackers, Stealing Client Contact Data

Chainalysis, the analytics firm that tracks crypto thefts, confirmed that an external attacker used "offensive agentic techniques"—AI agents capable of autonomous planning—to infiltrate its systems. The breach exposed user IDs, full names, email addresses and job‑role labels of staff, but the company reports that case files, passwords, login codes and session tokens were not accessed. Chainalysis is working with outside security experts and deploying large language models to identify and patch vulnerabilities. The incident is unrelated to the $6.3 billion Binance theft, though Chainalysis is one of the firms tracing that money.
