Cardano proposes 2027 budget process to let stewards assess and seek grants

Cardano's proposed 2027 budget process, published by Intersect on Oct. 28, would assign stewardship roles to Intersect, PRAGMA and the Cardano Foundation across six spending areas. Delegated Representatives (DReps) would retain final approval of treasury withdrawals, but stewards would help shape funding decisions by developing domain strategies, recommending budget caps and defining assessment criteria. The framework also introduces Open Contributions, allowing direct applications to DReps, pending approval and remaining funding.
