Island Energy says no plans to remove gas standing charge following UK budget announcement

Island Energy, which supplies power to households on the Isle of Man, says it has no plans to remove the standing charge for gas, following the UK Autumn Budget announcement to remove fixed daily fees in England, Scotland and Wales. The company warns that removing the charge could see low-energy users save money while high-energy users face higher bills, as costs would be recovered through unit prices instead.
