Circle Shareholder Sues Donald Trump Over Alleged UAE Crypto Deals

A Circle shareholder, J. Benjamin Greenberg, filed a lawsuit in Washington federal court alleging that UAE-linked cryptocurrency payments enriched Donald Trump's family through investments in World Liberty Financial ($500 million) and a $2 billion transaction settled with USD1 stablecoin. The complaint, filed on Oct. 22, argues that these payments violated the Constitution's Foreign Emoluments Clause, citing initial payments to Trump-linked entities and subsequent proceeds, while also detailing how an Abu Dhabi-backed MGX investment in Binance utilized USD1, which launched shortly after the announcement.
