Musk suggests US government controls speed limits on Ukraine's Starshield-linked drones

Elon Musk suggested that the US government dictates speed and usage limits for Starshield, the military-grade service linked to Starlink, stating that "any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately [the US president]" on X. On Tuesday night, Starlink restricted speeds to 100mph (160km/h), disrupting Ukraine's battlefield missions, though this was partially restored by Wednesday evening, according to former defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov. Musk also stated Starlink is for "civilian or defensive activities and cannot be used for offensive military action."
