Meta and Apple collaborate to enable Muse Spark Open AI model on Mac Studios

Meta announced Muse Spark Open, an 816 billion parameter natively multimodal model, which is claimed to be the most capable US open-weight model to date. This model is the first in its class capable of running on two Apple M5 Ultra Mac Studios using the MLX framework, excelling at long-horizon tasks, complex software engineering, and multi-step reasoning. The collaboration was publicly supported by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Apple CEO John Ternus.
