YouTube implements 'Made with AI' label for AI-generated music on YouTube Music

YouTube is introducing a 'Made with AI' label on YouTube Music to mark tracks primarily created or altered using generative AI tools, starting today in the YouTube Music app and expanding to the main YouTube app later. This label applies to tracks where generative models were used to create composition and vocals, though it does not cover all AI tool usage. If music partners do not disclose AI use, YouTube may use other signals to identify AI-generated songs. This follows similar voluntary labeling by Spotify and reported AI tagging by Apple Music, while other platforms like Deezer and Bandcamp have taken different approaches.
