The rebuilt bitcoin.exe matched the original file’s SHA-256 hash exactly, with every byte matching. The reconstruction revealed Satoshi used Windows XP with MinGW GCC 3.4.5 and provided a reproducible record of the early software's development, though the launch-day executable from January 8 is still missing.
