Ledger introduced the $849 Ledger Atom on Oct. 15, a mobile device combining everyday apps with hardware-protected crypto transactions, featuring an active protective shield to detect physical tampering. This launch follows an investigation into an organized criminal operation that secretly modified genuine hardware wallets to capture customer recovery phrases and drain cryptocurrency holdings. Atom supports 4G and 5G, integrates an Android environment with a dedicated Ledger OS, and partners with Solana Mobile to preload the Seeker application.
