BeInCrypto Report Tracks $119,947 in AI Agent Payments on Base and Solana

BeInCrypto's State of AI Agent Payments 2026 tracked 6.4 million x402 payments across Base and Solana between July 23 and August 26, moving a total of $119,947 with an average payment of about 1.9 cents; over 90% of payments were less than a penny. Current AI agent purchases primarily support web searches and airline reward seat checks, while trading platform Zoomex noted that while 14 out of 19 reviewed workflows could act within pre-agreed permissions, fully autonomous investment decisions are expected to take longer, with Zoomex emphasizing that the key metric is the responsibility people are willing to delegate.
