OKX launches Shield program in the U.S., offering up to $500,000 account protection

OKX has launched OKX Shield in the United States, providing eligible customers with financial protection against account takeovers. Users can receive up to $100,000 in protection, with VIP 1 to 3 customers eligible for up to $250,000 and VIP 4+ customers up to $500,000. To activate the shield, users must enable a passkey, turn on large withdrawal protection, block web withdrawals, and enable transaction verification. The service also checks linked devices for malware and guides users through remediation.
