MARAD Approves $1 Billion Offshore Crude Oil Export Port Off Louisiana

The U.S. Maritime Administration has approved the deepwater port license for Blue Marlin Offshore Port, a $1 billion project off Louisiana able to export up to 2 million barrels of crude per day and load VLCCs directly in the Gulf of Mexico, supporting up to 1,052 construction jobs with no construction timeline announced.
