Indian workers record tasks with head-mounted cameras to train physical AI

Workers in India, like Mohammed Ashim, are paid $5 to $10 for 8 to 10 hours of recorded work, capturing hands and fingers via head-mounted cameras. This footage is sold to technology companies and research organizations to train physical AI capable of controlling real-world robots for tasks ranging from industrial work to household chores. While data collection companies like Rashdan Technologies ensure worker consent by blurring faces, client demands are increasing, requiring more complex multi-camera setups.
