U.S. Senate Democratic Leader Schumer Says Democrats Will End Iran War, Conflict "Must End"

U.S. Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer said on November 4 that the Iran war "must end" and that Democrats will end the war, noting some Republicans have joined the effort. He cited Congress's control of the federal purse strings as a means to prevent the president from launching war without public consent. The statement follows U.S. media predictions that Democrats won the November 3 midterm elections and regained control of both chambers; President Trump acknowledged the war affected Republican electoral performance but called it "worth it."
