AWS SageMaker SDK v3 enables fleet-wide computer vision model lifecycle management at the edge

AWS SageMaker SDK v3 replaces the deprecated Edge Manager with Neo for edge optimization, allowing users to train, evaluate, and version thousands of edge models without human intervention. A dual-branch pipeline trains an anomaly detector and defect classifier per camera, with quality gates that block underperforming models. Models are compiled with Neo for specific edge targets and registered only after passing evaluation. The entire pipeline can be deployed via AWS CDK, and a full run on synthetic data costs approximately $0.07 in compute.
