Europe's youth protests erupt across continent over education and cost of living

Protests have erupted simultaneously across Europe, with the majority of demonstrators being young people. Demonstrations in France, Belgium, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Serbia and Albania have targeted education grievances, social inequalities and the rising cost of living. In Barcelona, over half of those detained in scuffles last weekend were under 18. Authorities in several cities have used tear gas and water cannon to disperse protesters.
