Pinduoduo's 5th Duoduo Agricultural Research Tech Competition concludes with young teams building strawberry plant factories

On November 5, 2026, QbitAI reported on Pinduoduo's 5th Duoduo Agricultural Research Technology Competition. Four finalist teams built 50-square-meter strawberry plant factories from scratch using domestically developed technology to grow domestic strawberries for six months. China Agricultural University's "Cyber Farmers" team won first prize again, harvesting 284.45 kg of "Pink Jade No. 2" strawberries in 50 days across 126 square meters, with the largest single fruit weighing 73.7 grams and ranking first in public judging. Shanghai Jiao Tong University's "Berry Cube" team took third place, harvesting 295 strawberries averaging over 20 grams each. The article also revisited a past contestant's plant factory project in Tibet supporting local communities, emphasizing that technology should serve planting principles rather than dominate them.
