Microsoft exits UK's largest planned AI data centre project

Nscale announced plans to build the UK's largest AI data centre in Loughton, Essex, with a £2 billion investment. Microsoft had pledged to fund a supercomputer at the site but has since terminated its involvement. Nscale says it is exploring alternative power sources and maintains that its relationship with Microsoft remains strong for other overseas projects.
