Square launches Square Kiosk, an AI-enabled touchscreen ordering terminal

Square has launched the Square Kiosk, a large, pill-shaped kiosk featuring a 21.5-inch touchscreen and an agentic, conversational voice layer. The Kiosk uses presence detection to welcome users and allows customers to order, ask questions, and request modifications using natural language. Payment can be made via contactless reader or card slot. The device is available starting today for $1,999 for businesses with a Square Plus or Premium subscription, plus a $99-per-device monthly software fee.
