Airbnb to Launch AI-Native Travel Agent in First Half of 2027

Airbnb announced in its Q3 2026 shareholder letter that it plans to roll out an AI agent in the first half of 2027 to help users plan and book travel. The company said it is developing a custom-designed, AI-native interface built around travel-specific elements such as maps, photos, calendars, and itineraries, rather than a traditional chatbot. CEO Brian Chesky previously said the 2027 interface would be "much richer than a chatbot."
