Mt. Gox trustee extends repayment deadline to 2027, cites incomplete creditor procedures

Mt. Gox rehabilitation trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi has pushed the repayment deadline to October 31, 2027, citing that many creditors have not completed necessary procedures. Wallets linked to the exchange still hold approximately 34,388 BTC, valued at around $2.8 billion. The Tokyo court approved the extension, the fourth such delay since 2023.
