Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier dismissed former Mt. Gox chief Mark Karpelès as 'no white knight' after Karpelès accused Ledger of knowing about advanced spy implants in users' wallets since March, which could have prevented over $90 million in losses. Karpelès claims Ledger ignored warning signs after he discovered a hidden circuit board in a sealed wallet, capable of stealing the 24-word recovery phrase. Ledger acknowledges its Genuine Check cannot detect implants if the original security chip remains intact.
