DAC Highlights Need for Quantum-Resistant Infrastructure as Italy Unveils Quantum Supercomputer

DAC, a quantum-resistant Layer-1 blockchain project, emphasized the growing need for post-quantum security during the Digital Innovation Forum 2026, coinciding with Italy's inauguration of its first Quantum Supercomputer and industrial quantum annealer, Volta B1, on October 16. Davide Costa, Head of Innovation at DAC, stated that while these advances unlock new possibilities, they reinforce the need to prepare for future threats to cryptographic systems securing blockchain networks. DAC is developing an EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain incorporating Proof of Quantum Work (PoQW) and quantum entropy to ensure long-term cryptographic resilience.
