French Bank Arkéa Resumes Transfers After $133 Million Attack, Crypto Loss Unconfirmed

French bank Crédit Mutuel Arkéa said nearly all operations resumed on November 4 after attackers used its own account via a provider's platform to initiate fraudulent crypto transactions. The bank declined to confirm a reported €118 million ($133 million) loss, validating only the order of magnitude, while some funds were blocked and recovery efforts continued. Blockchain firm Bitquery traced $108.8 million in USDC withdrawals linked to Kraken, Crypto.com and OKX wallets, but could not verify the bank-to-exchange connection or identify receiving account owners.
