Texas brothers sentenced to 15 years in prison for armed crypto robbery and kidnapping

Raymond Christian Garcia and Isiah Angelo Garcia were sentenced to 15 years and 15.5 years in prison respectively for an armed robbery and kidnapping in Minnesota in September 2025. The brothers traveled from Texas, held a family at gunpoint for over nine hours, and demanded access to cryptocurrency accounts. After failing to obtain the expected amount, they forced the victim to drive to a cabin where they stole over $8 million in crypto before fleeing following a 911 call from the victim's son.
