UK survey finds 75% of job seekers unaware of right to challenge AI rejection

A Censuswide survey of 2,000 UK workers found that 75% were unaware of their legal right to challenge automated job rejection decisions. Furthermore, 70% of ethnically diverse jobseekers altered or concealed information on their CVs, such as country of origin, religion, or name, due to fear of AI bias, compared to 57% of white candidates. Sheeraz Gulsher, CEO of People Like Us, stated that employers must audit AI systems and publish results to ensure transparency and accountability.
