China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology unveils 15th Five-Year Plan for industrial base upgrading

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with seven other departments, has issued the "Industrial Base Capability Upgrade "Fifteenth Five-Year" Plan" aiming to alleviate weak points in the industrial base by 2030. The plan sets 22 key tasks across seven areas including boosting self-reliance, enhancing innovation capacity, and improving product quality, targeting a batch of globally influential brands and more "single-item champion" enterprises.
