Google brings conversational Gemini navigation to Apple CarPlay

Google has introduced its conversational Gemini AI assistant to Apple CarPlay, initially available in the US with a global rollout planned. Drivers can activate the feature via the Gemini icon in Google Maps to ask multi-step questions, such as getting recommendations and routing to destinations while avoiding toll roads. The update does not include the Personal Intelligence features recently added to Android Auto, which allow the assistant to access user data from Google apps.
